Pesach Insanity
First of all, I'm over this "Quinoa Is Sometimes Acceptable But Not Always" madness. I have never seen a sign in a supermarket telling me that I had to call my rav prior to buying a kosher certified product. That was a strange phone call. He said that it was okay and so that is exactly what I had for lunch today -- that and sweet potato.

Also, I was stupid enough to buy matzah crackers that were made with Egg matzah. MARK THAT ON THE FRONT. Not in small letters on the side, but in very clear large letters so I know not to buy it. Egg matzah, in the Ashkenazic tradition, are meant to be only eaten by those who are elderly or unable to eat normal matzah.

Nevertheless, Pesach has been treating me very well. We have been going out to meals and everyone has been fawning over tiny Chaim Yosef, calling him delicious and yummy. Only in frumkeit do I hear this description.

Babies are not kosher! Actually maybe they are. I don't know. But they aren't for eating!

They sure aren't! :) Makes you wonder how the practice came into being of calling them such foodie terms.
