Guess it's time for a new VAIO.

Rather than pay $500 to get my screen repaired - the jokers at the shop wanted $75 to look at it which would go towards the repair if I accepted their estimate - and which would still come out of my pocket if I did not. For a few hundred more I'm getting a laptop that has 1.25GB more ram, about 40GB more hard drive space and has a slightly faster processor.

Take that, people who want to charge $75 to spend five minutes.

Because they can.
