What a great Shabbos.
I'm exhausted right now, and feel bad that I didn't write the Go Inside article as I thought I would. But then, there's always tomorrow morning. Yes, tomorrow morning I will get up good and on time, around seven, and then I shall write it. This is not at all unreasonable. Even the fact that I haven't the faintest notion as to what it will be about - that is no barrier.

I read a lot of that "based on a true story" novel "Let My Nation Live" which is purely from Talmudic and Midrashic sources. It goes into great detail about all kinds of stuff that you'd really have to be a Torah scholar to know about, or at least somewhat better learned than I am - though not as learned as I'm going to, G-d willing, be. Here's a fascinating little tidbit I got from the book. King Solomon's throne had all kinds of statues of animals surrounding it. One of them was a lion. After Jerusalem was taken and the Jewish People were exiled into Babylonia, two major leaders attempted to sit on the throne, only to be crippled by a bite from the ferociously animated stone lion standing near the throne. Wow. Good thing I read it, too, because I was able to answer some questions for

Wow. Good thing I read it, too, because I was able to answer some questions for <lj-user="laurenlall">, who is even spiffier than I thought.

I also spent some time today reading through an old yearbook and found that pretty much everyone said the same thing - "Wow, you're so incredibly unique, you're so different than everyone else, I'm going to miss your strange sense of humor, etc." Then there was the senior will part of the yearbook, where it was basically a fact that when I left something for someone that seemed really obscure or something, it meant that I had a huge crush on that person at some point in time.

I have a confession to make. I'm dating someone who likes Avril Lawhateverhernameis. I actually bought the cd for her today. Tonight, I mean - motzei Shabbos. I bought that, and got a "nice" watch for myself. My mom basically foisted it on me. Saying that it doesn't look mature to have a Disney Store watch, or something. Eh, free watch. It's a Timex. I couldn't care less either way. It's just a watch. My boxers, on the other hand, will remain Disney for the forseeable near future.

Tomorrow, I'm going to see Sandra!!! I'm so happy. Very much looking forward to this. As a side note, she told me she doesn't understand how I can like Pearl Jam as much as I do, being that I'm not an angry white woman. Uhm, huh? I didn't realize that pj's core audience was composed of angry white women.

You mean Avril LapossiblyJewishbutchangedthespellingofherlastname?

Did you ever think about that?

I'm wondering if she IS Jewish... and if that should make me proud or ashamed.

I haven't been keeping track of the content of her songs or how she dresses, but if it's too sketch, then I'm offially not calling her Avril LapossiblyJewishbutchangedthespellingofherlastname anymore.

You wear Disney boxers? If anybody else had said that, it probably would have been too much information. Instead, I'm just amused.

Definitely Disney Boxers.

Jewish or not, she's just... I don't know... silly. :)
