shakespeare scene a day
I don't think enough people read Shakespeare.

I am willing to bet most people die without having read the bulk of his plays.

I had this idea for a daily regimen called Shakespeare Scene a Day or something like that - working out the details. The gist is that you read the same scene as everyone else in the program - sort of like Daf Yomi but with Shakespeare.

I'm working on tallying up the scenes in the complete works - so far I have precisely one: King Henry VI Part I and II - okay, so two if you count them as separate plays.

There are 27 scenes in the first part and 24 in the second.

Would anyone care to add up any other plays to get the ball rolling on this project?

Thanks.

I would be up for that! King Lear is the only play I have a copy of, I've read a few others in highschool. Currently Lear is in a box somewhere in the apartment, which I cannot unpack until later because I don't have my shelving yet. So I'll count it when I do.
