It then occurred to me that it really shouldn't be called an accident if it was your fault. If you are rear ended, it is an accident. If you rear-end someone, it should be called an on-purpose.
Example: "Oh, man, I got into a terrible on-purpose today. Guess I shouldn't have been reading Garfield and putting on my man-lip gloss while driving."
